New Delhi: Delhi-based Rosmerta Technologies, a road safety solution provider, deals with layers of road safety. A proprietary ‘Automated Driving Test Tracks Systems (ADTTS) developed by Rosmerta eliminates manual intervention during assessment of a driver’s eligibility for a license. This system works using various sensor-and video-based tools that evaluates the driver’s performance and replaces manual intervention with automation during the driver’s license assessment.“We are the first and the largest automated driving test provider for the driving testing stations”, Karan Nagpal, President of Rosmerta, told ETAuto on the side lines of Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. The company claims to have eliminated 20 to 30 tests required in manual testing by using ADTTS.
Rosmerta has four subsidiaries, Rosmerta Autotech, Rosmerta Engineering, Rosmerta HSRP Ventures, and Rosmerta Telematics.
Rosmerta Autotech has launched its indigenously developed DMS technology at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 for INR 30,000, which follows the company’s initiative for ‘Surakshit Safar’. This will be initially targeted at fleet operators, the system offers real-time tracking, AI-based driver behavior monitoring, and in-cabin alert for trucks, thus providing a check on operations and whereabouts of vehicles. The company claims it has the capacity to provide ADAS functionality to non-ADAS vehicles.
“Rosmerta works throughout the lifecycle of a vehicle”, Nagpal said about the extent of the services his company provides. He is also planning to enter the international markets with “a few of our products.”
Rosmerta Telematics
“Rosmerta Telematics tracks the driver behavior and promotes safer driving,” Rosmerta has developed in-house tracking system, hardware design, firmware development, and software platform development in its own manufacturing unit in India. Hence it is able to make modifications whenever necessary. It has collaborated with several organizations to introduce telematics to its fleet and develop all the software for driver management, route management, roster management, and the commuter app.
Rosmerta has incorporated its connectivity platform in over 30 lakh vehicles which Nagpal says “is one of the largest and fastest growing verticals of the company.”
Recently it has launched a Large Telematic vertical, a driver monitoring system and driver management system. “It helps give alerts in the cabin as well as register everything on a platform for anyone to see, for a fleet manager or a boss to ensure more and more safe driving… Other than telematics, we also offer connectivity through a company called Sensron. So we are the largest in the commercial vehicle space. All the CV OEMs take our connectivity platform. It’s a telco agnostic platform”, he added.
Registered Vehicles Scrapping Facility
Rosmerta has opened a Registered Vehicles Scrapping Facility (RVSF) with an initial investment of INR 10 cr in Manesar’s 70k sq-ft palace. Here it has done more than 3000 vehicles. The company plans to add ten more in the coming three years,. “Being present in all the different regions is key for that. Logistics business is a very large cost component for the RVSF industry. There are still few things to be incentivized or aligned in the industry ecosystem. For RVSF to really work the end customer, the OEM, the recycler, everyone needs to be incentivized in the right manner. But we are getting closer to the deal”, he said while talking about the key components of the recycling vehicle industry,”
Rosmerta has expanded both in the OEM and the aftermarket segment which comes with both opportunities and challenges on which Nagpal said, “We have the advantage or good luck to be present in both OEM as well as aftermarket segments, which I think gives us deeper insights into how the market is going to follow and what the customer needs are going to look like”.
